With the start of the normalization process in Turkey, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is restarting cultural and artistic activities and vocational training, which were suspended due to the coronavirus epidemic. The Department of Culture and Social Affairs, which will organize free city tours with mobile buses as of June 15 for the citizens of Başkent who want to get to know their city better, is also reopening BELMEK courses that enable women to have a profession.


     A new process has started with the normalization steps taken in Turkey, where many events have been canceled or postponed during the pandemic process.


     Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has also completed its preparations to restart the activities that it had to take a break in the capital for a while. The Department of Culture and Social Affairs will start BELMEK courses, which contribute to women's having a profession, on June 14, and city tours, where historical and cultural places are introduced to residents of the Capital, from June 15.

      The Department of Culture and Social Affairs organizes free city tours for local and foreign tourists, as well as those in the Capital, to get to know Ankara history and culture closely.


     With the excursions that will start on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from Anıtkabir to the War of Independence Museum (1st Parliament), from the Republic Museum (2nd Parliament) to Hacı Bayram Veli Mosque and Augustus Temple, from Çubuk-1 Dam Recreation Area. Many places up to Ankara Castle will be toured by buses. While the city tours to be organized in the districts are arranged according to the days of the local public markets, those who want to join these trips; In addition to learning the history, culture, touristic and spiritual values ​​of the districts, they will also enjoy shopping at local public markets.


      Due to the COVID-19 measures, applications will be received through Başkent 153 for free city tours, which will be carried out with mobile buses for 20 people.


BELMEK COURSES ARE ATTRACTING HIGH ATTENTION


      The trainings to be given in 31 different branches in 59 course centers belonging to BELMEK, which are located in 6 main regions and attract great interest from the citizens of the Capital, start on June 14, taking into account the pandemic conditions.
