In collaboration with Ankara Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Association & MS's Visor Social Project

Virtual Exhibition “45 frames from MS’s Viewfinder”

“The Visor of MS Social Project” organized exhibitions for the first time in the world and in Turkey, with “photographs consisting of clear and blurred frames” taken by many MS patients; He works to draw attention to the vision problems that MS patients experience during attacks.

Collaboration with the Ankara Multiple Sclerosis Association, which has followed the project closely from the very beginning and promised support, has borne fruit on the 2020 World MS Awareness Day as the "45 frames through the Visor of MS" virtual exhibition. 45 frames from the eyes of Hatice Hande Kapan, Merve Gül Bayzat, Nur Serra Karhan, Oğuz Carpenter and Nisa Balcı will meet with you.

Ankara Multiple Sclerosis Association, which was established in 2017 with the dream of seeing the individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis fully and completely in the society; Based on the fact that knowledge is the most important means of enlightenment, it aims to inform the people and institutions that need to be informed about MS in the society and to create social awareness about this disease. Although it was established in Ankara, it aims to support the development of public services for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients living in Turkey and those who support them. Ankara Multiple Sclerosis Association launched the website www.ankaramsdernegi.org right after its establishment. On the official Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube (@ankaramsdernegi) pages of the association, studies are carried out to increase the level of awareness about MS by sharing information with a participatory approach and using effective and positive slogans.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a neurological disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS) usually seen in young adults. It is an autoimmune disease that occurs as a result of the deterioration of the protective sheath (Myelin) around the nerve fibers that carry messages to all organs and tissues in the brain and spinal cord due to the wrong functioning of the body's own immune system cells for an unknown reason.

Vision loss in this disease is different for everyone. Frames taken without taking advantage of the automatic sharpness of cameras and phone cameras reveal this difference in vision loss more accurately. Of course, we also have clear photographs in our exhibition. Because sometimes we see clearly. Here, the dream of an exhibition was born when both the clear frames and the frames called “this is not clear” and decided to be deleted were sent to the address [email protected], rather than to the trash.

Now, are you ready to look at the shots we took from MS's Viewfinder, to see them as we do?
